Mantaro Announces Availability of FPGA Development Platforms with 40G and 100G Ethernet Solutions

Mantaro’s offering of Altera and Xilinx FPGA Development platforms provides an easy and proven path for 100G, 40G, 10G, and 1G Ethernet solutions.

Germantown, MD (May 2, 2011) - The need for 40G and 100G Ethernet solutions is rapidly growing across various industries. Rising to the challenge and meeting needs, Mantaro is now offering a complete solution with Altera and Xilinx based FPGA development platforms, FPGA IP MAC and PCS Cores, Ethernet solutions documentation tailored for each specific platform, and a free PC GUI application for lab testing.

Mantaro, the leader in technology design services and engineering, offers various FPGA IP Cores, including tested and proven 100G MAC/PCS, 40G MAC/PCS, 10G, and 1G Ethernet IP Cores for both Altera and Xilinx. Sparsense, the developer of a novel image and signal processing technology has joined forces with Mantaro, a turnkey product development services firm. The exclusive partnership will allow the development of various custom hardware algorithm accelerator platforms capable of advancing medical imaging and other applications. Sparsense uses proprietary digital signal processing algorithms to improve the image quality of many types of sampled images. The presentation entitled, Porting a Legacy Control System to National Instruments PXI with LabWindows/CVI Real-Time, will provide a real world example of a factory control system that was ported from a Multibus architecture to the PXI platform.  This session will cover economic benefits of the conversion, reasons for choosing PXI and LabWindows/CVI Real-Time, how existing C software was ported, key lessons learned, and performance characteristics of the final system.

The Tech Council of Maryland has named CTO Gabe Mayo of Mantaro Product Development Services a semi-finalist for 2008 Tech Awards, to be held November 6, 2008.

Germantown, MD (Nov. 3, 2008) – Gabe Mayo has been named a semi-finalist for “CTO of the Year” by the Tech Council of Maryland. The CTO of Mantaro Product Development Services will attend the awards ceremony on November 6, 2008, at the Tech Council’s 3rd Annual CIO & CTO Live! Awards.

Mr. Mayo applied his 25+ years of experience in the technology industry and expertise in a range of disciplines and to coordinating diverse competencies on a substantial technical team. Harvey Sugar of Mantaro to present at 2006 Embedded Systems Conference in Boston

Germantown, MD (Aug. 1, 2006) - Harvey Sugar of Mantaro Networks, Inc., will be presenting at the 2006 Embedded Systems Conference in Boston, MA on September 28.

The seminar, entitled Efficiently Coding Communications Protocols in C++, will review how to use C++ classes to implement protocol layers, how to use a tasking/queuing model that cuts across protocol layers efficiently, and how to reduce overhead in creating message buffers. An implementation will be presented that uses C++ classes to implement a layered protocol. This implementation will also demonstrate how the tasking/queuing model can be separated from the layered implementation. Methods for efficiently parsing message headers and using caching for low overhead creation of message buffers will also be reviewed.

Harvey has over 25 years of experience in systems and software engineering, developing real-time embedded systems primarily for telecommunications and data network products. He has worked with communications technologies including packet switching, optical networking, satellite communications, telephony, and wireless. He has implemented communications protocols including TCP/IP, Frame Relay, ATM, SS7 and Packet Over SONET. Some of his accomplishments include, pioneering the use of Object Oriented design and C++ programming in developing a software framework for telecommunications test equipment, leading the development of the first production ADSL test set, and developing and implementing algorithms for the first DWDM system that automatically adjusted power levels and gain.
