CTO of Product Development Firm Named
Semi-Finalist for 2008 Tech Awards

The Tech Council of Maryland has named CTO Gabe Mayo of Mantaro Product Development Services a semi-finalist for 2008 Tech Awards, to be held November 6, 2008.

Germantown, MD (Nov. 3, 2008) – Gabe Mayo has been named a semi-finalist for “CTO of the Year” by the Tech Council of Maryland. The CTO of Mantaro Product Development Services will attend the awards ceremony on November 6, 2008, at the Tech Council’s 3rd Annual CIO & CTO Live! Awards.

Mr. Mayo applied his 25+ years of experience in the technology industry and expertise in a range of disciplines and to coordinating diverse competencies on a substantial technical team. Mantaro Product Development Services focuses on developing enabling technologies in the communications, test and measurement, transportation, consumer, and industrial arenas.

Responding to a market environment that requires sophisticated designs of many of Mantaro’s clients, the firm has developed a multi-disciplined approach, executed by a diverse staff of experts. The Mantaro product development firm, coordinated by Mr. Mayo, is built on centers of excellence that can effectively address key technical areas. These include RF design, Analog and Mixed Signal design, RFI/EMI mitigation, FPGA design, turnkey design, DSP design, Embedded Software design, and System Analysis and design. Subject matter expertise, often formulated in terms of feasibility studies, is also provided by Mantaro.

“We are very proud that the Tech Council of Maryland has recognized Gabe Mayo and all of his efforts to make Mantaro a successful company,” said Mantaro CEO Jeremy Parsons.

The growth of Mantaro’s outsourcing partnership model means the addition of new competencies. Mr. Mayo is currently targeting robotics and energy management, for example, as a means of propelling the Mantaro product development firm into new markets, and is able to do so with his team’s broad advanced technology services background in magnetics, power electronics, analog design, control systems, DSP, and thermal management.

CTO Gabe Mayo, prior to founding Mantaro Product Development Services, co-founded Synaptyx with CEO, Jeremy Parsons. Synaptyx sold within three years of its inception to Telco Systems. Before founding Synaptyx, Mr. Mayo held senior managerial and technical leadership positions at JDSU Acterna (formerly TTC), a telecommunications test equipment manufacturer.

The 3rd Annual Tech Awards Celebration at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center is to be held November 6, 2008. Finalists will be honored and winners announced.
